Routine

I’ve had a really hectic couple of weeks and all my routines have completely gone out of the window. I’ve moved out of my house in order to rent it for a while and am now living with my parents. This isn’t as bad as some people might imagine but it’s strange not having an entire house to myself. I don’t mind, I just need to get used to it again.

It has all left me feeling a little out of balance though so this week is the start of getting myself back on track with work and carving out a new routine. I’m not entirely sure what this will look like but I’m looking forward to working on it. For one thing, I’ll have more time to do things while I’m not cleaning a whole house myself. I also have less of my things around – partly in the hope that I will have less distractions. Although I’m sure I’ll find something to distract me when I need it 😊.

What I’d really like to do in the next couple of months is make some progress on trying new things when it comes to my business. I have a big list of things to try but I want to make sure I give each one time to see if it works or not. I find it easy not to do things that I’m unsure of when I’ve tried them once (usually half-heartedly) and they haven’t really worked. This year, I want to make sure I’ve given things a good go first. If they don’t work, at least I will know that I tried to do it. I want to be able to say I tried my hardest.

Routine is a great way to make sure you’re getting the most from your week, while also ensuring you’re doing everything you need to. We all live such busy lives these days, most of us need to schedule in some downtime too. It’s really important to make sure you get some time to relax or you will end up completely overwhelmed and no help to anyone.

It’s difficult building a business up from scratch and everyone I’ve ever listened to who has started one has said the same thing. It takes a lot of work and, as I’m prone to procrastination, I find it easy to give up when things get hard. But I need to keep reminding myself that I really want this. Also that I’m good at what I do, especially when I’m giving it my all. I know I can make it work, I just need to get on with it!

On that note, I’m going to add in some vlogs to my weeks which will be in place by the end of February so if there’s anything you’d like me to talk about, please let me know!
